In this new ministry, we are partnering with Mission of Hope to knit and crochet for Kid's Compassion in Hazard, KY. Kid's Compassion serves the needs of single mothers in Hazard. We'll be focusing our efforts on items for children birth through age 5.

Everything is needed! Hats, scarves, mittens, blankets, sweaters.... anything you make will be needed by the children in Hazard.

Donations of stuffed animals are also needed. Every child will receive a stuffed animal with their item.

If you'd like to join us, we'll be having drop in meetings on the WestLake Campus in the Fireside Room (Room 114) from 6-9 PM on the following Mondays:
  • August 30
  • September 20
  • September 27
  • October 11
  • October 18
Come when you can and leave when you need to. Bring your current project and a snack to share if you'd like.

Our first deadline is October 18. Mission of Hope is hosting an event in Hazard on October 21-22 and will take the items that are ready.

Items can be dropped off at the Women's Ministry table on either campus or at The Yarn Haven located at 464 North Cedar Bluff Road, Knoxville, TN 37923.

You don't have to knit or crochet to get involved! If you would like to learn, we would love to teach you, but you can also help out by donating a stuffed animal and by letting others know about Stitches of Hope.

If you would like more information, please email Glenda Tipton or join us at one of the meetings listed above.
