Volunteer Information

We are excited that you have chosen to be a part of the Kingston Pike campus Preschool Ministry. It is our desire for each family that comes through our doors to be comfortable leaving their most precious possession, their child, in our care each and every week. Take time to read this, and help us in ministering to these families.

• Check in at the desk, if relieving another volunteer, account for all children

• Child should have a nametag and security card on file
• Parents should sign in child on clip board
• Child must have nametag when they come in  

Smocks

• Smocks are located on hooks in the Toy Room 

Toy Room

• Room behind the blue desk
• Return all items the way you found them
• Extra clothes, underwear, washcloths & towels are located here

• Snack basket will be in your room, serve water to drink
• Schedules & Activities
• Classrooms for ages 2 – 5 have a schedule, activity and story
• Permanent Teacher – if one in classroom, they will have these
• Only Volunteer – these will be next to the fish tank on the blue counter (downstairs) and on the counter at the end of the hall (upstairs)

• Only use when weather permits
• Count children before leaving room, once on the playground and when returning to room

• Check and change every diaper before sending home
• Place sticker on diaper after check/change
• Always use gloves & sanitize changing table
• Only women change diapers

• When parent returns, match parent card number with number on child’s nametag
• Safety pin card and tag together and place in box outside the door

• In case of an emergency, refer to procedure and evacuations route located on the back of the class door
• Use this procedure in case of tornado, fire, lock down or bomb threat or a drill
• In case an event occurs, take sign-in sheet with you to account for children
• Parents may NOT pick up children until everyone is accounted for

• Notify coordinator immediately
• Boo Boo Sponges located in Kitchen Freezer
• Band aids located on back of kitchen door
