Helping Hands Ministry

Helping Hands Ministry

The Helping Hands ministry is a day program for special needs girls.  The girls range in age from 21 to 28 years old.  These girls do various jobs and tasks for First Baptist Concord and other churches in the community.

Some of the duties consists of mail-outs, assembling newsletters, straightening and replenishing supplies in the Worship Center and non-food set-up for mid week dinners.  They also have made deliveries at Christmas and Easter to homebound members of First Baptist Concord.Tuesdays through Thursdays are work and fun-filled days, and Fridays are always our special fun day!  On Fridays the girls get to enjoy shopping trips, special lunches, movies, picnics, trips to the Knoxville Zoo, a visit to the Discovery Museum in Chattanooga or to the Appalachian Museum during the Fall Festival!

This ministry provides wonderful fellowship for the girls!  It gives them a great way to serve their Lord, teaches them cooperative skills and caring for each other and is a tremendous help to the staff members of the various churches they serve in our community.
